Our products also contribute to the medical field through their applications in water disinfection. Membrane technology supports the safety of society and the health of people. For example, our products are used to disinfect water for pharmaceutical applications and produce water required for dialysis treatment in hospitals and clinics at medical sites. In dialysis treatment, which is closely related to the daily routines of patients, we have made various advances, such as not only disinfecting water, but also developing products equipped with a remote monitoring system to ensure stable treatment.

Separation membrane products of DAICEN MEMBRANE-SYSTEMS are used in separation, purification, and concentration systems for various components by taking advantage of their characteristics. Our products are also attracting attention as useful products for energy-efficient production processes and resource recovery methods. In addition, we are expanding the possibilities of separation membranes by proposing power-saving systems using membrane-treated water to contribute to a sustainable society.

Cellulose acetate separation membrane with low environmental impact

We offer a lineup of membrane products with low environmental impact, which use Daicel Corporation’s cellulose acetate, a type of biodegradable plastic, as a separation membrane material.
Cellulose acetate is a semi-natural high-molecular polymer produced from “cellulose (plant fiber)” derived from non-edible plants and naturally occurring “acetic acid.” It is highly biodegradable and friendly to the environment and human health. Daicel Corporation uses trees, cotton, and other plants that are systematically cultivated as raw materials to make effective use of natural resources.
