Daicel Group to Exhibit at the 6th Sustainable Material Expo
Contributing to a Circular Society Through Value Co-Creation: Connecting Decarbonization and Resource Circulation with Materials and Technologies
Daicen Membrane Systems Ltd. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masayoshi Yasuhara), a member of the Daicel Group, will exhibit at the 6th Sustainable Material Expo, to be held at Makuhari Messe from September 30 to October 2, 2026.
This exhibition is a specialized trade fair focused on environmentally conscious materials, including biodegradable resins and biomass-based materials, as well as the manufacturing and recycling technologies associated with them. It attracts a broad range of industries, from electronics, automotive, batteries, construction, and building materials to food and beverages, daily necessities, and consumer goods.
Showcasing the Daicel Group's Leading Products and Technologies Developed Through More Than a Century of Commitment to Biomass
Since its founding more than 100 years ago, the Daicel Group has continually engaged with biomass and advanced its business from a sustainability perspective. The Company's name and origins are rooted in celluloid--the world's first man-made plastic, made from cellulose, a natural polymer derived from wood.
Under the key themes of Health, Safety and Security, Convenience and Comfort, and Environment, the Daicel Group provides valuable materials across a wide range of business fields.
At the exhibition, the Daicel Group will introduce new technologies related to its Biomass Value Chain Concept, which it proposes to help realize a circular society, as well as products associated with DURACIRCLE® Sustainable Solutions, an initiative aimed at achieving 100% circularity for engineering plastics.
Visitors are invited to see the latest progress in the development of wood biomass-derived materials and engineering plastics containing post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. In addition, membrane solutions--including tubular membranes used in wastewater treatment--will be displayed for the first time this fiscal year.
Note on visitor registration: Free visitor registration is available until Friday, September 4. Registration after this date will be subject to a fee.
